I think worries about 'IP-JAE split', 'mugging culture' and 'disadvantages as a JAE' are pretty common but I'm glad to say I've been blessed to be in A15 (#bestclass)!!🥳🥳 The opportunities offered here are countless, you honestly need to pick carefully 😅😅
School life is full of surprises 🤣 I was invited to watch a performance few hours before it started and randomly pulled to do SoDaChe in the canteen :) Do look forward to spontaneous outings and raves at Central Plaza!! 🥳🥳
SNEC is a small council of 10 SNECkers which I became the President of. I still can't believe we pulled off a whole National Day carnival and concert!! Hwach is where you achieve things you didn't expect yourself to because you're surrounded by amazing people. 🥰🥰
HP is not just about enrichment lessons, symposiums and the overseas trip (2024 - Japan). It is a close-knit and supportive family whom you’ll study and laugh together with.💓💓
Being in AEP as a small community filled with people who share the same passions motivated me to push myself and excel further. The laughter we shared during classes, Inter-JC collaborations, professional workshops, exploring museums, and embarking on the 2024 Japan trip all contributed to making my AEP experience especially rewarding.
I love working with my exceptionally hardworking and talented members in PubCo. As PubCo Sec-Tres, I really enjoy planning and executing new initiatives to fulfill the Hwa Chongian school experience.
Being in such a supportive and lively class (24A15!! ❤️❤️) makes me genuinely look forward to going to school each day, where lessons were made much more fun with them. Going on class outings and having karaoke sessions during free periods also helped us forge stronger bonds.
Being in HP provided me with many opportunities to develop myself and interact with different people — 2024 Overseas Trip, symposiums, enrichment activities and many more.

I absolutely LOVE my class! We are all so different, yet we come together to form such a dynamic and fun bunch! It really feels so amazing to have such supportive classmates who make my every day interesting and chaotic (in a good way of course)!
Hwach really has so many hype events with the best vibes! They really helped to contribute to the “play hard” culture, helping us to destress from a hectic JC life and form lifelong memories!
Council is really like my home. Not just because I spend so much time on it, but also because of the PEOPLE. 50 immensely passionate councillors unite to SERVE our HC! As Vice-President, I am incredibly proud of our HCSC, and the impact that we can make.
The academic system here has a perfect balance of independent learning and guided learning! We have the friendliest and funniest teachers who care so deeply about our wellbeing and true learning!
24S74, the best class! Many of us are JAE students, we all come from different backgrounds, and we’re all professional yappers ☝ S74 is a bunch of amazing people that never ceases to amaze me and make my day. I love S74💕
FacCom is a group of bright and passionate souls ready to cater to the Aresians’ needs. Fun Fact: Both Fac Heads are from S74! It has not been very long since we started working together, but I already love it a lot!
Initially, I was afraid that there would be an IP/JAE divide here, but I was proven wrong! They really are an interesting, fun group of people. From spreading brainrot to creating chaos, the people in SnR are some of the closest friends I could ever ask for.
HC has given me many opportunities to pursue my passion in medicine, and one such example is MedSoc. Here, I met many passionate and driven individuals like me with an interest in medicine!

Although the transition into HCI seemed daunting initially, I had no trouble connecting with my classmates and forging lifelong friendships. Even though I’m the only JAE student in my class, I cannot recall a time where I felt excluded. The people you meet at HCI are welcoming and easy-going.
One of the first things I noticed about HCI was its lively school spirit. Faculty events are plenty of fun with amazing performances and delicious food! I shared a lot of laughter watching my friends perform, and being able to hang out with them was definitely a stress-reliever.
At the Astronomy Club, I had a really good time making new friends across the cohort, and stargazing under the night sky. Joining the club inspired me to lead and take up the role of President. I found it meaningful to take charge and make the club a better place for its members.
At HCI, there are limitless opportunities for one to develop holistically. I was fortunate enough to partake in both Chemistry and Biology Olympiad training programmes, and be in SMTP. I enjoyed the frequent enrichment sessions and engaging talks, which fuelled my passion for science.
Post-Orientation Party (POP) was really a highlight of the Orientation for me, where I felt an immense #4FACS1HWACH spirit! It was a breathtaking experience, raving together with my batchmates and celebrating the beginning of our chapter in JC!
MAD Orientation really got me hyped to work together with my new CCA mates! Not only did we go to Sentosa, we also built new friendships and explored our imaginations. This further fueled my passion to serve such a fun-loving bunch of dancers~
Hwach has had so many cherishable nights, but Dance Night has an especially unique place in my heart. Watching my seniors’ effort and passion motivated me to strive for greater heights, and taking the stage shortly after beginning training was truly magical.
It was my first time having the opportunity to cheer on my friends at the National School Games — and what a match it was, having me on the edge of my seat! It was already a win for my class just watching the volleyballers play their hearts out, and for us to cheer our hearts out too!

The NSG season was full of ups and downs, having to battle the weather and play many games in a short period. It was an absolutely amazing experience though! For the DSAs and athletes — be prepared to catch up on your lessons during NSG!
It’s hard to balance softball and studies, but it’s a really good experience to be able to balance a hectic lifestyle. My advice is to embrace the rigour and push forward! It’s a tough journey, but it’s worth every second.
My class (24S68🥶) was way crazier than I thought it would be ✨ I met people from all walks of life who also have similar interests! This class can go wild, but we are all still working hard to get our grades up! 🆙🆙🆙
In the crazy class is a crazier group of friends 🤡 Although I was worried about being unable to find new friends (not knowing anyone from high school makes me feel very foreign) , I met this bunch and the rest is history. I’m sure you can find really good friends here in HCI!
