Apollo, Artemis, Ares and Athena - Welcome to the Faculties of Hwa Chong! The faculty system presents a home within a home, another reinforced pillar of support for our students. Sorted by subject combinations and classes, each faculty possesses a unique identity, each with a special flair that students can identify with. The sights and sounds of the Faculty are encapsulated in the wide array of welfare initiatives, ranging from Faculty Brunch to Faculty Community Involvement Programme (FCIP). Each faculty houses souls brimming with passion for building a community , embellished by electrifying dances and thunderous cheers. This is the work of the Faculty Committees — a group of highly committed students that champion the well-being of every student, navigating them through their Hwa Chong Journey. As such, the voices of the Faculties are amplified, translating into reverberating waves of laughter and joy on campus. Together, they form a fusion of cultures, more affectionately known as the 4Facs1Hwach Family that we all know and love. The faculties add exuberance to the vibrant kaleidoscope of school life, hopefully leaving fond, everlasting memories of a uniquely Hwa Chong life in every student after your two years with us.
Red, hot, and fiery — that’s us, the Ares faculty. Ares, the Greek God of War, is a powerful symbol of passion, courage and vigour. Alongside his faithful steed, Ares leads his army into war, winning every battle along the way!
As Aresians, we too are warriors strengthened by love, motivated by passion. Here, you’ll find a close-knit family that places a strong emphasis on inclusiveness and diversity. With students from both the Arts and Science classes, our faculty is certainly a vibrant community! Within this faculty, a team of dedicated student leaders – the Ares Faculty Committee – strives to build strong class spirit, organise fulfilling faculty events, but most importantly, help you form long-lasting core memories that you can cherish for a lifetime.
In the throes of battle (that is JC life), a whirlwind of activities, schoolwork and experiences might leave you in a tizzy. At times, you may find yourself caught in a blaze, overwhelmed by academic and co-curricular commitments. But fear not! Together with fellow Aresians, we will charge forth boldly with strength, determination, a fighting spirit and a heart to grow!

Closer to home, the Athena Faculty in Hwa Chong is a faculty lush green with zest, joy and supportive fellow faculty members. We soar with the mighty owl, the emblem of wisdom, and a reminder of the significance we place on embodying thoughtfulness and care in our actions.
With Athena Faculty’s unique familial spirit, Espirito Verde, we will have each other’s back through thick and thin. Helmed with knowledge and perspicacity, Athenians work and play hard in this faculty we call home.

Artemis is the Greek goddess of the hunt. Cool, blue and swaggy, she is the embodiment of courage, strength and perseverance with her legion of immortal hunters.
The wolf has been a prominent symbol of Artemis Faculty. Wolves are highly intelligent animals which are ferocious while hunting, yet unquestionably loyal to their pack. Our slogan — ‘The Pack’s Got Your Back’ — alludes to the strong sense of solidarity and unity in the Artemis Faculty. Here, you will find that those around you will never falter in their support for you throughout your journey in our pack.
Artemis is led by the Faculty Committee, which comprises 15 passionate individuals from the different classes in the Faculty. The Faculty Committee is a dedicated team which spearheads various faculty events, such as the Faculty Introduction, the Faculty Brunch, the Post-Orientation Party, and the Faculty Event. As the driving force behind passion projects like food deliveries and faculty merch, we champion the well-being of Artemisians in the faculty throughout the ups and downs of their time in JC. Through these events, we seek to strengthen the Faculty spirit and unite different batches of Artemisians.

Apollo Faculty’s identity dazzles like royal tapestry, with our distinguishing yellow radiating optimism throughout this Kingdom, cradling all in its warm golden rays. He, the Greek god of the Sun and Light, Apollo epitomises the vitality and vibrancy the Faculty strives to exemplify.
Apollo’s sacred animal – the bull – roams through our Faculty’s spirit, serving as an emblem of free exploration and diversity. It is a radiant representation of the unwavering resolve that every member of our glorious Apollo Faculty possesses in the face of challenges.
A team of 15 passionate individuals, our Apollo Faculty Committee spearheads various thrilling Faculty events such as Faculty Brunch, Post-Orientation Party, Faculty CIP and Faculty Event, as well as welfare initiatives like DeliverMOO and Wonderful Humans Of Apollo (WHOA). Through these exciting events, we strive to fulfil our mission to alleviate academic stress and bring about light and warmth, instilling a strong sense of pride in all students in the Faculty.
